Overview
The Mark Parker Memorial Trust was formed after offers of support from all around the world were received by Murray and Verna Parker. Pete Gowing, Tim Gresson, and a number of other people decided it best that a trust was formed that would
encapsulate the ideals that Mark stood for and the skills that he had, and help other New Zealanders with similar ideals and skills to reach their potential and therefore benefit New Zealand.
The Trust will raise as much money as possible, make grants or give scholarships to young New Zealanders who have leadership potential and skills, and who have shown that they have the desire and capabilities to make a significant contribution to the future of New Zealand. These grants will be made from the revenue gained from the investment fund.
New Zealand and the world is always in need of good leadership, and the trust sees that it can help encourage young New Zealanders to continue their education and/or travel the world to help them be the best leaders they can be.
